The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Memphis (www.memphis.edu/csd) is one of the leading academic and clinical programs in the country. This graduate-only audiology program resides in a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility on the University’s Park Avenue Campus. This 12-month non-tenure track position is ideal for a strong, innovative clinician whose focus area is in vestibular assessment and management and who will provide clinical education in an academic setting. The clinical program offers the full scope of audiology services to our patients including diagnostic assessments across the lifespan, hearing aid services, cochlear implant services, bone conduction device services, electrophysiology assessments, vestibular assessments, auditory rehabilitation, and auditory processing disorder testing and treatment.
Applicants are expected to collaborate on research and service with clinical and academic faculty. This candidate is expected to be involved in the maintenance and growth of the vestibular clinic. The clinic currently employs assessment methods such as oculomotor examination, caloric testing, rotary chair examination, vestibular evoked myogenic potentials, and the video head impulse test, and it also provides BPPV examinations and management. Those with experience providing hearing aid services and an interest in teaching a clinical laboratory course are also encouraged to apply. This position requires an AuD or PhD. The applicant must have ASHA certification (CCC-A) and be eligible for TN state licensure.

This 12-month tenure track position is ideal for a strong, innovative researcher whose focus area is in adult neurologically acquired communication disorders and conducts research in basic sciences related to adult neurogenic communication challenges or specializes in specific clinical populations. Applicants will have the opportunity to collaborate with our Memphis Speech and Hearing Clinic and their clinical services, including the successful Aphasia Bootcamp held once a year. Those who have earned a PhD or other research doctorate by August 1, 2026, and clinical certification and eligibility for state licensure in SLP are especially encouraged to apply.

Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Instructor (Part-Time)
The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (SCSD) at the University of Memphis seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join
our Memphis Speech and Hearing Center (MSHC) team in a part-time capacity (30 hours/week, Tuesday through Friday). This is an
exciting opportunity to work with diverse populations while contributing to the education
of future SLPs through clinical supervision of graduate students. This role is primarily
geared toward serving pediatric clients, including participating in Porter-Leath HeadStart
screenings, completing speech-language evaluations, and providing pediatric speech-language
therapy, including supporting autistic children.
