About Jeremy McClelland
McClelland brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in facilities operations,
15 of which have been in higher education. He brings deep expertise in project management,
operational strategy and team development across large, multi-campus institutions.
Prior to the UofM, McClelland served as associate vice president for Facilities Development
and Sustainability at the University of West Georgia, where he oversaw a $50 million
annual budget and 2.8 million square feet of facilities in addition to 800,000 square
feet of student housing. Projects led by McClelland at UWG included capital project
delivery, space utilization, sustainability programs and deferred maintenance planning.
While at Dallas College, McClelland provided strategic oversight for a seven-campus
system serving 65,000 students and managed more than $35 million in facilities budgets.
He led capital construction projects, improved operational systems, enhanced energy
efficiency and standardized maintenance and safety practices across the district.
McClelland is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate
and holds a project management certification.
