Applications for the 2026 program are being accepted from October 1 through December 5, 2025.

Hosted by the University of Memphis since 1986, the Governor's School for International Studies (GSIS) is a three-week on-campus program for highly-motivated and academically-talented rising high school juniors and seniors located in a city that has changed the world in more ways than one. Memphis sits at the crossroads of international commerce, culture, and creativity.  We are delighted to welcome students from across the state who are interested in global issues and engaging with others with similar interests.  Learn more about the program here. 

There is no cost to students for attending the program other than any involved in transportation to and from campus.
