About Gabby DeFrank
Gabby DeFrank was born and raised in Memphis, TN, and began playing violin at the age of four. This led to a love for music that urged her to try new instruments. She chose to explore french horn and mellophone at Houston High School where she competed in the marching band and symphonic band programs. She moved on to attend the University of Memphis where she played mellophone in the Mighty Sound of the South marching band. She graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree. As the Facilities Manager of the Rudi E. Sheidt School of Music, she brings strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a drive to support the daily operations that keep things running smoothly. Her goal is to contribute to an environment where students, faculty, and staff can thrive and experience the joy that music brings.
