Highlighting Innovation: Congratulations to Our Showcase Awardees

The Loewenberg College of Nursing recently hosted its annual Scholarly and Academic Achievement Showcase, and we are thrilled to share the results! Thank you to all who participated and supported this exciting event, highlighting the exceptional work of our students. The presentations reflected a high level of academic rigor, creativity, and dedication to advancing the field of nursing.
We extend our warmest congratulations to the undergraduate awardees: First place went to BSN 9 for their literature review on nurses’ perspectives on implementing new technology to improve patient care. Second place was awarded to BSN 13 for their integrative review on educational interventions targeting vape use among young adults. Tied for third were BSN 7, who explored pregnancy-related mortality among African American women, and BSN 8, who studied the impact of lifestyle changes on heart failure outcomes in African American communities.
On the graduate level, first place was awarded to MSN 1 for an innovative presentation on wearable devices for continuous ketone monitoring. Second place went to MSN 2 for introducing a cutting-edge, touchless patient monitoring system, while third place was awarded to MSN 8 for a compelling presentation titled "Empowering Women."
Finally, the People’s Choice Award went to BSN 4 for their literature review on how food choices from toddler to school age impact children’s health and lifestyle.
