Loewenberg College of Nursing Peer Tutoring
Peer tutoring is an academic support service designed to help students strengthen their understanding of course material through one-on-one or small group sessions with trained peer tutors. These tutors are fellow students who have successfully completed the courses they assist with and can provide guidance, study strategies, and clarification on challenging topics.
Students must register individually for each tutoring session they wish to attend. Please note that failure to attend a registered session may result in the loss of tutoring privileges for the remainder of the semester.
Availability of peer tutoring sessions varies each semester based on tutor schedules and course demand. If you encounter academic challenges beyond what tutoring can address, please consult the academic bulletin for guidance on next steps or additional academic support resources.
Request a Peer Tutor
Need extra support in a class? You can request a peer tutor to receive personalized academic assistance. Tutoring sessions are designed to help you strengthen course understanding, review key concepts, and build confidence in your studies. Each session requires individual registration, so be sure to sign up early to secure your spot.
Examine Prep/Sessions Calendar
Stay on top of upcoming tutoring opportunities by checking the Prep and Sessions Calendar. The calendar provides an up-to-date schedule of available sessions, including dates, times, and subjects offered each semester. Use it to plan ahead and make the most of your academic resources.
Peer Tutors
Academic Peer Tutors are experienced students who have excelled in their coursework and are trained to assist others in mastering challenging material.
