Biography
Jessica Soester is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Philosophy at Southern Illinois University and an adjunct instructor at the University of Memphis.
Soester specializes in Marx, Dewey, political and economic philosophy, philosophies of the Americas, Asian and comparative philosophy, pragmatism, and phenomenology. Soester's current research focuses on the interactions between philosophy and journalism (and has a project under development on philosophy of disability).
Soester has presented at conferences in the United States, London, Toronto, São Paulo, and most recently Leiden.
