Collaborations continue with UoM SPH and College of Public Health and Health Informatics (CPHHI), King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), Saudi Arabia

May 29, 2025 – On May 27-28 2025, The University of Memphis School of Public Health (UofM SPH) was honored to host Dr. Ashraf Elmetwally, Professor of Epidemiology, College of Public Health and Health Informatics (CPHHI), King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), Saudi Arabia.

During this visit Dr. Ashraf Elmetwally and UoM SPH  focused on research collaborations in two mega projects: Digital interventions for metabolic syndrome and young people wellbeing. Discussions included topics for a collaborative faculty seminar series, a  PhD Bridge Program allowing for graduate certificates to be offered in addition to PhD degree.

The international MOU signed by University of Memphis School of Public Health and CPHHI, KSAU-HS, Saudi Arabia aims to establish collaborative Center "Center for Population Health Interventions and Outcomes" to enhance collaboration in areas of academic partnership, research collaborations, faculty development, student and community engagement both here in Memphis and Saudi Arabia.
