UofM SPH Representative Attends Monthly Meeting of Neighborhood Association Leaders and Government Representatives

July 9, 2025 - University of Memphis School of Public Health (SPH) Community Outreach Representative Steve Shular attended the monthly meeting of neighborhood association leaders and government representatives.

Steve updated the group about the UofM SPH plan to establish public health clubs at Craigmont and Raleigh-Egypt High Schools this Fall in the Raleigh area. Memphis City Councilmember Rhonda Logan, who led the community meeting, met recently with Dean Joshi and Mr. Shular. They discussed the importance of high school public health clubs and how they help young people maintain good health, steer clear of criminal activity and focus on their career goals.
