SPH Representatives Tour Youth Villages to Explore Potential Partnership

July 30, 2025 - School of Public Health (SPH) Coordinator Laura Granack and Community Outreach Representative Steve Shular, toured Youth Villages Bartlett Campus to explore potential partnership opportunities.

Youth Villages provides support for children and young people nationwide who face emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges. Their evidence-based treatment models focus on strengthening family and support systems to improve long-term outcomes. Services include Residential Treatment Programs, LifeSet, Multisystemic Therapy, Intercept, Foster Care, Adoption, and Specialized Crisis Services.

The tour took place at Bill’s Place, a residential center for at-risk boys ages 10–17. Following the visit, discussions focused on how SPH could contribute to the campus, including the creation of a public health club for the on-site school and opportunities for SPH student interns to assist with research or other initiatives.

Youth Villages has treatment centers across Tennessee and 28 other states.
