UofM SPH Attends South Memphis Neighborhood Partnership Meeting

August 28, 2025 - University of Memphis School of Public Health Community Outreach Representative, Steve Shular, attended the South Memphis Community Partnership monthly meeting held at Pine Hill Community Center in South Memphis. The monthly gathering featured representatives from government bureaus and community organizations who provided updates about crime and blight in the South Memphis area.

Mr. Shular discussed the increase in student enrollment, research funding and an upcoming health fair that will be held September 25 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the community center. The fair will be co-sponsored by the UofM School of Public Health and Memphis Health Center which operates five clinics throughout the Memphis and Shelby County area.
