Dean Joshi meets with City of Millington and Millington High School Officials

September 17, 2025 - Dr. Ashish Joshi, Dean of the University of Memphis (UofM) School of Public Health (SPH), met with officials from Millington City Government and Millington High School to talk about the UofM SPH Public Health Clubs curriculum. 

Millington High School principal Michael Perry expressed interest in a UofM SPH sponsored public health club at the school, as well as a potential partnership with the UofM SPH to offer a dual enrollment program for students interested in a public health certification or undergraduate degree.  

The Dean also discussed various public service career opportunities that students might pursue with UofM SPH degrees or certification. 

Millington City Manager, Frankie Dakin and the City of Millington Public Safety Director, Gary Graves, were also in attendance.
