UofM SPH Participates in Shelby County Emergency Management Planning Monthly Meeting

September 18, 2025 - University of Memphis (UofM) School of Public Health (SPH) Community Outreach Representative Steve Shular attended the monthly Shelby County Emergency Management Planning meeting which took place at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy. The meeting is comprised of law enforcement, fire department and emergency response agencies throughout Shelby and neighboring counties. 

Mr. Shular discussed the status of SPH sponsored public health clubs at area high schools and how emergency response agencies may collaborate with UofM SPH students and staff for research and other projects.
