SPH Hosts Fall 2025 Career and Internship Fair

September 23, 2025 – The University of Memphis School of Public Health (UofM SPH) hosted its second Fall Career and Internship Fair, marking the fourth SPH Career Fair overall. With 33 employers in attendance and 79 students representing a wide range of academic backgrounds, the event was a dynamic hub of opportunity for both students and employers.

Organized by Jamecia Richardson, Coordinator of Experiential Learning and Career Readiness at the School of Public Health, the Career Fair has played a pivotal role in supporting students' professional development since its launch in January 2024. The fair provides opportunities for students to secure internships, fieldwork placements, volunteer opportunities, and full-time positions, while also giving them the chance to practice their academic skills in the field, develop their soft skills and network with professionals and communities.

Since the inaugural event, employer participation has tripled, reflecting strengthened institutional partnerships, expanded experiential learning and career opportunities in sectors such as healthcare, government and non-profits. The Career and Internship Fair underscores the School of Public Health’s commitment to preparing students for success in the workforce and making meaningful connections that benefit both students and community partners.
