Call for Contributions to the Special Issue ‘Public Health Diplomacy in a Complex World’ Published in Public Health Reviews

November 13, 2025 - In an era shaped by pandemics, climate change, misinformation, and conflict, the need for effective public health diplomacy has never been greater.

The Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+) invites contributions to the special issue “Public Health Diplomacy in a Complex World,” published in Public Health Reviews. This Research Topic explores how diplomacy, governance, and international collaboration can strengthen local and global health systems and promote health for all.

The issue welcomes original research, policy briefs and reviews that:

• Examine the intersection of public health, diplomacy and international relations
• Highlight innovative partnerships and cross-sectoral collaborations
• Identify skills and competencies needed for effective public health diplomacy
• Address communication, trust, and infodemics in shaping global health outcomes

This call brings together researchers, practitioners and policymakers to share insights that advance the theory and practice of public health diplomacy in today’s interconnected world.
