Message from the Director

Dear Students, 

On behalf of the faculty and staff of the School of Social Work, I am thrilled to welcome you to our program!  Whether you are embarking on your undergraduate or graduate journey, we are excited that you have chosen this noble and impactful field to dedicate your time, energy, and passion.

Social work is a profession rooted in compassion, justice, and advocacy, and as future social workers, you will play a vital role in promoting social change, empowering individuals, families, and communities, and addressing some of the most pressing issues of our time.  Our department is committed to providing you with the knowledge, skills, and real-world experience necessary to navigate this ever-evolving world.

As you embark on this academic journey, I encourage you to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.  You will be pushed to think critically, engage with different perspectives, and develop a deep understanding of the complexities of human behavior, social systems, and social justice.  You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced faculty members, colloborate with passionate peers, and apply your learning through hands-on practice in the field. 

We are here to support you every step of the way, offering guidance, mentorship, and resources to ensure your success. Your commitment to making a difference in the lives of others is inspiring, and I have no doubt that you will emerge from this priogram ready to make a lasting impact in the world.
