About Susan Brindley
Professor Brindley earned her B.A. in Theatre and B.M. in Voice Performance from Millsaps College, and her M.M. in Voice Performance from Indiana University. She performed extensively on Memphis-area stages in the 1980s, then spent over 25 years in Los Angeles, where she acted mostly onstage and performed in several solo and duo cabaret acts. She also worked as a music and theatre instructor at a private independent school (grades 7-12) for ten years, where she also served as musical director and keyboard player for a dozen musicals. She returned to Memphis in summer 2018. Since her return, she has music directed at Lausanne Collegiate School, The Hutchison School, Grace St. Luke's School, Houston High School, Playhouse on the Square, and New Moon Theatre. In addition, she has appeared in numerous plays since her return to Memphis. She also teaches private voice lessons.
