Heather Hampton is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. She earned both her B.M. in Music Industry Studies (Recording Technology, 2005) and recently her Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Memphis. She is married to Jonathan and together they have four children - Briah, Madison, Cadence and Jamin. As an undergraduate, Heather was a member of the Mighty Sound of the South Marching Band, Symphonic Band, UofM Gospel Choir and and Black Scholars Unlimited. As a professional, Heather has over 20 years of higher education experience working with adult/non-traditional students, commuter students, student veterans, recruitment, admissions and enrollment and most recently, our Tiger parents and families. Her favorite thing about being Assistant Director is connecting with new and current parents and families and their students, and helping them navigate the twists and turns of the college journey. When she’s not working, Heather enjoys bargain shopping, watching basketball, TikToks and history documentaries, listening to music, and spending time with family.

Britney Lester has more than nine years of experience in higher education and communications. She has worked in recruitment, admissions and enrollment services, graduate medical education, and publicity, and now serves as the Coordinator for Parent, Family, and Student Communications. In her role, Britney enjoys building connections with parents and families as they support their students through the college journey, while also engaging new and current students by showcasing the Tiger experience across digital platforms. When she’s not working, Britney enjoys singing, attending concerts, exploring landscape photography, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Journalism and Strategic Media.
