Public Health Days
Better health starts with you and your communities.
Here at the School of Public Health, we believe community is the foundation to better public health. Without community participation, physical and mental health outcomes suffer.
Your community needs you to get involved in ways that change minds and behaviors.
That’s why we developed Public Health Days. An initiative created and managed by public health experts here in the school. With your help, we will build healthier, more resilient communities.
"Join us in celebrating Public Health Days to promote wellness and foster community
engagement.”
- Ashish Joshi PHD, MBBS, MPH
Celebrating Public Health Days
There are so many reasons to celebrate public health. Here’s four:
- Brighten someone’s day
- An extra burst of motivation to schedule a check up with a physician or change behaviors
- Sharing information about a community office or service to those in need
- Become a more well-rounded, engaged community member
Public Health Days Priorities
- Educate our communities
- Develop a dedicated network of public health advocates
- Improve health outcomes associated with social, environmental and economic determinants of health
